insureyourlove.org is an educational website sponsored by the LIFE Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping consumers make smart insurance decisions to safeguard their families’ financial futures. The purpose of this site is to educate consumers about the close connection between love and life insurance and, hopefully, to motivate underinsured Americans to get the coverage they need to protect the ones they love.

LIFE is strictly an educational organization. It does not endorse any insurance products, companies or advisors. Our only interest is seeing that consumers get the coverage they need to protect themselves and their loved ones.

To educate the public, LIFE employs a wide range of communications tactics including advertising, consumer media outreach, educational programs in high schools and colleges, public service announcements, informational flyers and videos, and a wide array of online communications. In addition, LIFE coordinates three industry-wide awareness campaigns: Insure Your Love (observed in January/February) Life Insurance Awareness Month (observed in September) and Disability Insurance Awareness Month (observed in May).

LIFE was formed in 1994 by seven leading insurance agent organizations, which recognized the need to better educate the public about important insurance planning topics. To help us deliver our educational messages, LIFE receives financial support from more than 140 of the nation’s leading insurance and financial services organizations.

LIFE is governed by a 18-member Board of Directors, comprised of representatives of six of the industry’s leading agent organizations.
